Chris is super busy however catching up on the maintenance on trials etc that is hard to do when we are busy with tours. He has been seeing so many monkeys and they are busy expanding their troops with more babies which is always so great to see.
The weather has cooled down but we are hardly getting any rain, which is great for the few tourists that have ventured down here during the rainy season. It has been beautiful.
We are seeing lots of different birds at the moment, and more excitingly, i saw two otters last week. They were beautiful and so playful, i stood for about 5 minutes and watched them, it made my week.
We have been making some pretty exciting plans for next year, and arranging for some great Parelli instructors to come down as part of Parelli in Paradise, watch this space for more details.
We have been riding Banjo a lot lately, as he is a baby, and getting him out and about to see as many things as possible. he even had his first ride on the beach. Of course he was a super star and took it all in his stride. We are so lucky to have him.
This week, we also retired Moro, which was a sad but also happy day for us. He has been with us for the last 7 years after we rescued him from one of the illigal horse tours, in fact we are still the ONLY legal tour in the whole coastal area! He was a super star, but lately had been showing he really didn't want to do it anymore. We always try to listen to our horses, we arranged for him and Boatie (who retired earlier in the year at the wonderful age of 25) to go to a beautiful farm nearby where there is oodles of grass (over 250 acres) and rivers and hills. Just stunning. They are going to be very happy out there and we will be riding over regularly to visit them. In the mean time they are going to be in the very capable hands of the wonderful Raffa who cares for the farm.
