So much has happened lately, we might have to spread it over two blogs! Firstly and most excitingly, we once again this year got awarded the Certificate of Excellence for Trip Advisor. Three years in a row!! Woo Hoo!
Also exciting is the news that Honza Blaha is coming to Costa Rica. I would argue he is one of the worlds leading horsemen. Working almost exclusively with horses at liberty and with no saddles and bridles, he proves what we have all known for a long time, that horses do not need force, bits, whips or spurs to learn new things, body language and understanding is all you need.To have him coming here to do a clinic and riding vacation in February with us is SO exciting and we are honored to host him. You can check out the website for more details, but hurry we have hardly any spots left now. http://www.horseridecostarica.com/
Also this month we welcomed the beautiful Cee Cee, she was a gift to me on my birthday from Parelli instructor Alejandra Gonzales, what an incredible birthday that was! Cee Cee is a horse i have dreamed of for many years, she has only known Parelli from birth and i am excited to see where our journey together will lead us. She is a Lipizzaner x Andalusian cross, very young and quite sassy! Stay tuned for her adventures in the months to come.
The wildlife spotting lately has been amazing. Julia, our guide, went up onto the Mango trail recently to check for rain damage and came back high on life! She spotted in two hours, two troops of White faced monkeys, One troop of Tee Tee monkeys, A jaugaundi (wild cat) and literally too many types of bird to list. Costa Rica, even after nine years, blows me away with her abundance and biodiversity.
We also added this month two new exciting types of vacations. The first is to combine Horse riding with surfing, and the second is to combine Horse Riding with Yoga. You can now have a week, packed full of excitement and indulge two of your favorite passions, or explore a new one. See the website for more details.
The horses continue to thrive and are all looking wonderful right now. When you are in Costa Rica, and if you cre about the horses you ride, come and check us out. We remain the only legal and licensed operation on the Central Pacific coast. Where ever you ride in the world, be sure to support companies that put their horses before their profits.
We have also launced our new facebook page, please hit like and join us on our journey, packed full of photos and videos. Here is the link to come and check us out. Come back soon for more updates.
