The big rains have hit ! We still managed to do tours but in the night wow has it been raining. Everyday we arrive at the farm to see what has changed, been damaged or indeed survived! We have been lucky and all of Chris's hard work seems to be holding firm.


He managed to finish the roof on the barn this week the day before the big downpours so he was very happy.


Tuesday was a day given over to chaos. I decided it would be a good idea to open the gates of the pastures onto the main farm road to let the horses eat the verges that are full of lovely grasses, however it didn't quite go to plan and all the horses galloped off in the loose direction of the main farm house and preceded to go on a jolly jaunt! Two also decided to go the other way and visit the local bar! Needless to say we ran around like loons and rounded them all up. That will be chalked up as a bad idea and won't be doing that again.


Shortly after we rounded up the horses, the cows from the farm decided they wanted to live in the horses fields and ran through all the electric fencing! We decided it must be a weird lunar day. Still its all good and life on the farm races ever onward!
