Life in the jungle 02/05/2010
Well life is settling down now here in Costa Rica. We are proud to say the new farm is proving to be a roaring success with many clients new and old returning saying it is one of the best things they have done in their lifes! V The new rancho got finished yesterday so i will get up some photos of it tomorrow. We have had a change around on the horses, my horse Beau has now gone to a wonderful family up in the mountains and their 14 year old daughter has fallen in love with him. I am so happy it will be a great home for him, although i will miss him! Julia our guide has moved her horse Cascabel over so she can use him for guiding. She is spending so much time at the farm now that it makes sense to have him here, he is a sweetheart. Just hope the other horses think so when they meet! Chris is recovering from a sprained ankle, he was bringing in the palm for the new rancho when he slipped off the back of the tractor and messed up his ankle! Ouch. Chris has been doing several new clients for barefoot trimming which is great. A one year old colt laid down and went to sleep straight after his trim, that was so sweet. So many horses have such trauma when they have their feet done for the first time with shoes, that to see this after barefoot was very satisfying. Had a great night over at Rancho Palomo Blanca last night, Chris went to trim and then the girls got some wine out! Fun to have some down time with horsey friends!
