Parelli weekend 12/17/2009
Phew, what a week it has been. We have had lots of tours at the new premises which is wonderful, but we feel like a synconised swimming team. All smooth on the surface and mental treading water underneath. Still its all good and we are getting there with the farm and the buildings. We have been designing new posters and adverts this week too, can't wait to see them all finished. This weekend i am off to train again with David Lichman, i am very excited and can't wait to see which horse i will want to bring home, i mean train with !!!! I am going with my friend Ann who has never done any Parelli, so it will be great to see her get addicted. Chris is out in the wilds cutting a new trail through the banana plantation that is out the back of the jungle. This will be a nice addition as the bananas bring in the monkeys and the toucans, so should get some good sightings back there. Will up date more when i get back from the Parelli course. Hi all, sorry for the time lapse in updating the blog, we have been flat out trying to get the project finished! We have been in bed at 7.30 most nights with little energy for anything else. BUT finally we have light at the end of the tunnel. The trails are looking amazing and i have been riding them all week with friends to get the horses used to seeing all the new sights. And what sights we have seen, so far we have seen wild boar, monkeys, white nosed coatis and so many birds of which i have no idea the names yet! So exciting. Chris has been a DIY maniac the last few weeks and has done an amazing job. The horses arrived last Sunday and have settled into their paddock paradise. They seem to be loving it, but are tired. All the new noises etc are keeping them up at night i think!!! They will settle down though. We have our first paying guests on Saturday, we are both nervous and excited, but it will be great i am sure. Thanks to Juila (our new guide) and the other girls for helping riding the trails. Hopefully i can update each day again now, or certainly every couple so check back for more photos. | AuthorDiscovery Horse Tours are dedicated to proving that working horses can be treated with love and dignity.
